My first interest in Real Estate was 25 years ago when I inherited a piece of rental property in South Texas. It wasn’t long before I realized, if you played your cards right, real estate could be a profitable endeavor. Since then, I’ve always owned rental property, and have always had an eye on the market where ever I’ve gone. Raised and educated in the south, I lived in the Dallas area for 26 years working in the Texas university system and the corporate world. I’ve always sought out the “experienced” people in whatever I have found of interest, which is why I’ve come to hang my license with TREC. Telluride Real Estate Corp. has the most seasoned, expert professionals, who are very knowledgable of the market and the area. I’m glad I can say I am now part of that team, the old guard, the team that’s been here since the beginning of its rebirth from a deserted mining town ~ how far we’ve come.

I came to Telluride in the mid 80’s and was humbled at the beauty and the people that made up this picturesque community. In 2000, I made my dream come true. I loaded up a u-haul, towed my car and found my way back to the San Juan’s ~ this jewel of a town that had swept me off my feet almost 20 years earlier.

As anywhere else I’ve been, I started learning the real estate market when I arrived and can say it’s one of the most unique places I’ve been, the market and the lay of the land. I’ve learned without effort to love this canyon and am honored to call it home ~ living at 9000 feet in crisp cool mountain air is where I want to be. To live in a town with a national forest and ski lift in my back yard is as close to heaven as possible. As Dizzy Gillespie was quoted as he admired our canyon and peaks, “If This ain’t Paradise, Heaven Can Wait!”
